How do I report an Accident?

In the unfortunate event of an accident during a club ride:

  • The ride leader should file an LAB Incident Reporting Form.
  • The affected rider should be given the LAB Claim Form to file.
  • You can download these forms from this page or our documents page (requires login).
  • For more information, visit the American Specialty website.
How do I Benefit from Our LAB Insurance?

To benefit from our LAB Insurance coverage, ensure that you:

  1. Maintain a currently paid-up membership at the time of the accident.
  2. Sign a yearly waiver or the waiver at the beginning of the ride where the accident occurred.
  3. Work with the ride leader to promptly file an accident report with AmerSpec after the ride.

While we hope that you never need to use it, MTC3 is proud to offer this valuable benefit to all its members. Your responsibility is to keep your membership current and adhere to the requirements mentioned above.

What exactly is the coverage?

Our LAB Insurance consists of three primary components:

1. Liability Coverage

  • Provides $1 Million of General Liability.
  • Offers up to $3 Million of General Aggregate coverage.
  • Applicable only during approved and scheduled MTC3 bike rides.

2. Medical Coverage

  • Includes a $500 deductible, which disappears if you or your primary Medical Insurance company has paid that amount on the claim.
  • Functions as secondary insurance to any other Medical Insurance you may have.
  • Eases the financial burden of biking-related injuries.

3. Accidental Death & Dismemberment Policy

  • Offers $5,000 of coverage per person.
