DESCRIPTION:Each year the leadership of the Major Taylor Cycling Club of Chicago hosts a retreat to plan the year. Because you are an active member of our club and bring a valuable opinion and perspective to our organization we would like to extend an invitation to join us. \nDate: Saturday\, January 27\, 2024\nStart Time: 10:00 am SHARP\nEnd Time: 2:00 pm or earlier\nLocation: Big Marsh Park\, 11559 S Stony Island Avenue\, Chicago\, IL 60617 \nPlease come with all of your ideas of your favorite rides and possibly some new club rides.  We look forward to you seeing you there and hearing your ideas! \nBecause the room has limited capacity\, we are asking that you RSVP to let us know that you’re coming and to ensure that we do not go over the limit of the room’s capacity.  Please respect the host location by advising us that you’re coming if you plan to attend.  Thank you for your adherence to this request.  Registration is open until either we reach the room’s capacity or Friday\, January 26th at 12 noon\, whichever comes first. \nTentative Agenda\nWelcome and Introduction\n\nArrival and informal greetings\nOpening remarks by the club president\nOverview of the retreat objectives\nBrief review of the previous year’s achievements and challenges\n\nYear in Review and Feedback Session\n\nPresentation of last year’s highlights (include metrics\, events\, member growth)\nOpen floor for members to share feedback and experiences\n\nCollective Brainstorming Session\n\nDiscuss various topics such as events\, membership growth\, and community outreach\nEncourage open dialogue and idea generation from all members\n\nSetting Goals for the New Year\n\nCollaborative workshop to identify and agree on major goals for the club\nUtilize SMART (Specific\, Measurable\, Achievable\, Relevant\, Time-bound) criteria for goal-setting\n\nDevelopment of Action Plans\n\nDiscuss and develop action plans for achieving the set goals\nIdentify necessary steps\, resources\, and potential challenges\nAssign responsibilities and timelines\n\nFinalizing Plans and Next Steps\n\nReview and finalize the action plans with input from all members\nDiscuss the implementation process and any immediate next steps\n\nClosing Remarks\n\nSummarize the day’s achievements and the path forward\nExpress appreciation for member participation and input\nInformal feedback session on the retreat\n\nSocial Hour/Wrap-Up (Optional)\n\nCasual socializing and networking to conclude the retreat
